Every piece starts with a question about how different colors might dance and flow together, and what the collisions could look like. I think of it as working with liquefied light, so I use bright white surfaces and let the pigments sit atop of them to maximize the luminance, sometimes layering, sometimes blending. It’s intentional chaos, with the idea of seeing familiar hues more deeply and intensely.
